Since the last time you heard from me, I have as usual been gloriously busy. Aside from doing the Homecoming Concerts, many solo concerts, Caribbean and Alaskan Cruises. I have toured Italy, Switzerland, Germany and also recorded a new song " Wartime Prayers" with Paul Simon on his new project with the Jessy Dixon singers which will be released very soon. Paul is very happy with the finished results and so are we. It was great to work with him again. The last time I saw him was when he surprised me by coming on stage and we sang together at Carnegie Hall during the "Homecoming Carnegie Hall" concert.

I also traveled to Israel and South Africa with Bill Gaither where I sang "Moses Take Your Shoes Off", a song from my "Get Away Jordan" CD. During the summer I traveled to Hungary, Ireland, England, the Faroe Islands, Norway, Germany, Italy, Nigeria, West Africa and Romania were I performed several concerts for the Child Action International Foundation, one of the many charities I am involved with to bring attention to the plight of the orphans and homeless children of Romania. These beautiful children are being wonderfully taken care of I am happy to report. One would never know the trauma they have experienced by the look on their faces and by hearing them sing of the love of Jesus. (See picture gallery.)

When I returned from Romania I heard of the devastation from the hurricanes that attacked my friends in the Caribbean Islands .I can't forget going to the Cayman Islands where I saw first hand the effects that the hurricane had there on this beautiful island. The concert I did there proved to be a great uplifting experience for me as well as for all those in attendance. We rejoiced for four hours.

"HURRICANES"
" New Orleans,Mississippi Gulf Coast"
Katrina wiped out churches and homes of friends of mine that I have known for years. Families that weren't wiped out completely where displaced .I felt that I could help by organizing my own relief effort. My friends contacted me to see what they could do to help. My secretary, Lisa, was inundated with clothing, utensils, dishes and paper products which were rushed to the victims. We had 50 volunteers to distribute these products. I felt there was still more I could do. I personally instructed my staff to open my home to family and friends that were displaced. They did and my home will never be the same again .(smile)

Some of them wanted to follow me to the Gaither concerts... they drove for miles to be there and thanks to Bill Gaither I was able to get tickets for them. They were the ones cheering the loudest. By the way to all the churches, festivals, camp meetings and community event organizers, Thank You very much. I appreciate you all.

I received many e-mails regarding the death of loved ones and friends and I would like to express my deepest sympathy and let you know that you are not alone for I too have had losses this year. My beloved Pastor, Dr. Paul Paino went home to be with the Lord. He was my mentor and the one that ordained me. (see Jes remember, you'll recognize me by the hair).Dr. Paino loved to hear me sing and supported me in all my endeavors. I will miss him greatly.

My number one fan and sister, Cora Faye Clayton also went to heaven.(See Jess remember) She organized her own Jessy Dixon fan club. In her home her entire living room was a shrine devoted to me. There were pictures, newspaper articles, album covers and posters which she had collected from my concerts around the world. When she would come to visit from her home in Houston, Texas she would secretly take photos of every room in my home, take them back to Texas, have them developed and show them to her friends. She would also send me copies, so I have a feeling she either liked the antiques in my home or she wanted me to have the photos for insurance purposes. (smile) All though Cora Faye had a illustrious career in politics and society receiving many awards of her own (see Jes Remembered)she had many passions in life. Her passions were the love she had for her two beautiful daughters, keeping the lineage of our family heritage together, baseball and bridge. I want to thank the many friends for your calls, cards and condolences. I am determined to carry on more than ever because Dr. Paino and Faye who were my #1 fans would want me to do so.

I am in the process of recording a traditional/contemporary new CD which will be dedicated to both of them. "I Am Redeemed", continues to be a phenomenal success on radio and T.V., as a result I am asked to do more and more concerts around the world.

Oh, I don't want to forget to tell you that I had two additions to the family, (see picture gallery), their names are Victoria and Jake. Aren't they cute? Now the lamas, peacocks, bantams, araucana won't be lonely. (see Jessy's animals). Terelle still has his own dog named Dutchess. For those of you that are asking how Terelle is doing, well he finished high school and is attending the University of Kentucky majoring in Business Management. However he still travels with me on weekends and says "HI" to you all. (See picture gallery)

As you can see I have just finished a new photo shoot and those of you on my mailing list here they are. I have also updated the photo gallery with photos from tours and concerts worldwide enjoy. Since you last heard from me, my Southern Gospel CD "Touch Me Lord Jesus" is completed and the new video "The Best of Jessy Dixon" is also available, see me play the piano, dance and sing. Bill Gaither and Michael Sykes are great producers. Order your copy today (see merchandise page to order).

Review:

Dear Jessy,
Guess what? I got my video today "The Best of Jessy Dixon Sanctuary" and let me tell you it's worth writing home about. I think every household should have one, it is Super. The interview with Bill is good too Both of the songs I asked you about are on this tape, I guess I didn't know the names of them. They are "The Wicked Shall Cease Their Troubling" and the other on is "Highway To Heaven". With this tape I also got a chance to see another side of you, Jessy at the piano. You're Good! Ms. Ann To all my fans there is one thing I want you to remember We are "Redeemed", and "We Are Destined To Win".

Warmest Greetings,
Jessy Dixon
